California Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board

Customer Service - Victim Compensation Program

Our goal is to provide responsive service to claimants, providers, advocates and other stakeholders and customers of the Victim Compensation and Government Clams Board.

Customer service representatives provide important information to our customers throughout the processing of claims, including assisting callers with questions regarding program eligibility, the status of bills, appeal options, and other complex issues.

The Customer Service Section is not the only resource dedicated to answering questions and solving problems. To further help crime victims who may need more comprehensive assistance with their claims, the Customer Service Section teams up with Victim Compensation Program staff. Beyond this, an ombudsman is available to work directly with victims who need further assistance.
